Good real estate agents stay on top of the latest industry trends, especially in real estate technology.
If your network isn’t full of internet-savvy realtors, here are some ways you can stay informed on all things real estate tech.
1 - Slack Groups
If you’ve used Slack before, you’ve seen how easy it is to stay in contact with the people you work with every day.
The last few months have seen a number of Slack groups pop up, bringing together like-minded people on all kinds of things, from internet marketing to tv.
Looking for a good Slack group to join? Check out slacklist.info, where you’ll find some of the more popular slack groups open to new members.
Joining a Slack group is a great networking opportunity you should try. Some require a small fee to join up, but it’s worth it for the opportunity to develop new strategies you can put into practice in your real estate business, and to get in touch with professionals across the country and around the world.
2 - Alltechnews.co
Alltechnews.co is a website that brings tons of tech news into one place. With a variety of major tech new sites accounted for, you’ve got a great place to keep up with the latest developments in real estate technology.
If you’re only worried about headlines specific to real estate, just search for “real estate” in the search box and it’ll show you every real estate-related headline available.
3 - Reddit.com’s Real Estate Technology subreddit
If you’ve never been on Reddit before, it’s a website made up of a collection of message boards, or “subreddits,” that allow people to post and comment on links. The /r/RealEstateTechnology subreddit is a good place to stay on top of relevant tech news.
With that, there’s a collection of other real estate-related subreddits with good info and discussion. If you’ve got a minute, take a look.
4 - Inbound.org
Although not a real estate tech news site, you should go to Inbound.org to keep up with the latest internet marketing trends.
It’s a great source for real estate agents getting into internet marketing for lead generation, blogging, SEO, and everything else. If you’re not a real estate internet marketing pro yet, this is a good place to start.
5 - Pocket
This one is cool. Pocket isn’t much of a source for real estate technology news as much as it is a way to keep all of the articles you find together, in one place.
Pocket is a web service and mobile app that allows you to “pocket” websites or articles for later. If you see something that might interest you, you can choose to save that story to your pocket app and read it later when you have some spare time to do so.
Tag each of your saved stories to keep them organized. There’s also a feature that finds relevant articles for you based off of your saved submissions, becoming another great source of articles and blogs relevant to you.
Even if you don’t use all of pocket’s features, it’s an invaluable way of storing information you can reference later.
